Heard this morning that Danny Speakman is in discussions with us. I have just found him on leigh website for 2006 season, and he is a centre. Can anybody remember him

Was he the lad that got sin binned after the altercation with Price at the dump last year?
He signed for Batley half way through last season (when Leigh signed Danny Halliwell).

Former Wigan U ' 21's player who I dont think had the best run with injuries last year. He certainly didnt play many games at Batley.
A centre but pretty sure he slotted into the backrow for the Leythers the year before last.
If you remember the NRC game where they came to us and battered us he scored a decent try that day. Looked like a yeti with long hair and beard.

The name rings a bell but for the life of me I can't picture him, and don't know a great deal about him.

His profile looks decent enough and would probably be an asset to the squad seeing that we need two more centres.

Just read the bio, but I don't know what his injuries were, and it doesn't say on the bio, anyone know?

On the basis that he "isn't good enough"

Norman Kember did n't want to take an R.A.F flight out of Iraq, perhaps he should be more grateful.

Probably would do a decent job if he stays free of injury. At the moment beggars cannot be chosers. I would welcome him if he signed
