What JohnF says is very interesting and I wouldn't disagree - but funnily enough - I gueass that SOC and SM wouldn't disagree either.  You don't need a degree to state the bleddin' obvious!  But I am sure that those two individuals and the rest of the club staff are busting their guts to improve on that situation.

I have supported Widnes from 1950 to the present day.  Believe me there were some days in that era where we had nothing like as good a chance as we have this season!  Our proud boast was that ' they'll know they've been in a game'.  A bit hollow but we had nothing else.  Much like the Batley's and Featherstones of the recent past.  The point is that if I and others like me had walked away because we had  no chance where would the club be now?  No World Club Challenge, No Cup Kings - no club!

So, maybe lower our expectations for a while, accept the reality, but SUPPORT SUPPORT SUPPORT!  SOC has said that he is in for the long haul, and it may be a long haul, but if he can make so will I.
