Looks like a good combination, it will give the students placements and provide good training facilities for the vikings, win win!!

Love it - we are looking more and more like a business with a plan. Good publicity in a (to date) unexpected / unexplored area.

One of my best friends goes to Edge Hill. She says the sports facilities are second to none there

Good to see us marketing ourselves wider.  To say Ormskirk is unexplored is a bit much though. Quite a few from there watch Wigan or Saints.

not been negative but does this show that there is a lack of suitable training facilities within the borough?

Would you want your tax being spent on an artificial pitch that would be used for about one month of the year?

We don't need to spend money on an artificial pitch as there are two in Widnes already one is at Fairfield High School and the other is at Bankfield High School and BOTH are floodlit.

Edge Hill have first rate equippment to mesure fitness and other technical stuff thats way above a simple Widnes lad like me. I'm sure the tie up involves us getting access to facilities we wouldn't otherwise dream of.

Meant in terms of Widnes actually going out and doing something positive Geoff - rather than hoping that a few of the faithful might tell their friends ...
