On Merseyside's RL programme tonight Mike the money(who is a bookie) said he would give odds of 100-1 on Widnes reaching the Challenge Cup Final this year, and 500-1 on Widnes winning it.
If we get lucky in the draws, there's an outside chance we could reach the final, but not win it It might be worth risking a pound to get a 100 back.

Grin Grin Grin Thats what I love about fans - we have 16 full time players, 2 trialists and one player on loan - we are in the second division of the game and 'with a bit of luck' we could get to the final. Class - sheer class  Grin Grin Grin

With not playing a single game and from the players we have i would of thought 1000-1.

The glass is definately half full in this thread! Congratulations, i'll offer 1000-1 for minimum bets of ?100.

?100,000 must be tempting for someone...

100/1 about us reaching the final is very stingy Farnworth Viking. I am sure you could invest that quid more wisely.

It would be a good bet if it was for the semi's, we played Saints in 1996, Toulouse played Leeds and Hull KR played Saints a couple of years ago but you always get a good side at that stage.

While they may not hasve been the best side in the world, the "frogs" still had a 30 man Superleague standard squad including at least 2 international class players (Mogg & Jones) to help them get to the final.

I think you are being ridiculously optimistic. We will do well to atve off relegation IMO

I'm with geoffw, even 1000-1 is generous!
