Whatever your sport - I would have thought a player would be only to pleased to play for Great Britain.

That is of course - unless you play Tennis.

Despite the millions that were spent on his coaching by the Tennis Association, Andy Murray has withdrawn from the Davis Cup team in Argentina.

Just like the pillock Henman used to do.

They always get injured when its convenient. Why don't they just admit - there isn't enough money to be bothered.

Andy Murray - What a prat.

Of course it should be an honour to represent your country and i certainley wouldn't want paying to do it especially when it means your worth to sponsors and advertisers increases and therefore you get even more wealthy. But would one half decent player make that much difference to a sport we have been cola at for decades.

Would the fact he's Scottish have anything to do with the fact he's not playing for Great Britain?

There's more than one person fron north of the border that refuses to accept the fact that they are British, is Murray one of 'em?

And moving it on a pace, is is he gonna have a Henman-esque career, i.e. always a nearly man, and never a winner of a big 'un? I fear the answer is "Yes."

Switzerland is a country of not many people, a lot of mountains, and a lot of cheese, yet they have produced Hingis, and Federer, two of the real greats of the tennis game. If the Swiss can do it, why can't we?

I wouldn't want paying to play for my country, I'd consider it an honour to be asked. Unless of course the letter came from Twickenham, then I would turn it down!

My girl-friend looked me in the eye, and asked "Do you love me, more than you love Swinton?" I replied "If I said yes, would you believe me?"
