Well we can always dream - no harm to them, but if Leeds do beat them up in the High Court it will be interesting to see just how the RFL manage to fudge the matter in Northern's favour (cos they sure as heck won't let them drop out of 'Souper League').

Even if they did go bust, it'd only be a 6 or 9 point deduction, same penalty as Widnes, Swinton etc.

Is Iestyn Harris worth ?3.2M to Leeds though, ?500,000 already spent in legal fee's between the two clubs.

I can see Leed's point of view, but the player didn't want to sign for them, whether that was because he was "tapped" up with a better contract or not.

The legal costs could be the biggest part of the whole thing if Bradford have to pay them!  Don't worry - the RFL 'fund' will come to the rescue!!!

The last time I saw Iestyn Harris he was playing for Wales RU against Australia at the Millenium Stadium. I did not think that his performance on that day was worth the cost of my ticket, which I got free.

Now if that is ?1/2m in legal fees then surely a % of that should be accounted for with the salary cap. This will be another cover up, just you watch. Cheating penny pinching chocolate-bags.

No, because Leeds' case isn't that strong. Bradford may end up with a huge legal bill, but I doubt any fine will make them go bust. The reality is, Harris didn't want to play for them, and courts take a dim view of these sort of clauses. Although they won the battle with Harris, I think this one is harder to win. Even so, they are not going to get anywhere near ?3.2m for an RL player! Their case is limited by the fact they won the GF last season, so how can they possibly argue for such high damages?

And do we really want to see one of the best supported clubs go out of the league? I don't think it is in anyone's interests for that to happen.

Plenty of Clubs have gone bust in recent years.
Widnes, London, Hull, Halifax, Oldham, Hull KR etc.
Can I see the RFL allowing Bradford to go bust - yes.
Can I see the RFL allowing Bradford to be excluded from Super League due to fact of going bust - agreed no chance.

I am sure that a good mediator could make both clubs see sense. There is only one winner when you start litigation.
