Heard the result, Salford scored 54 points at Rochdale.

Now to me this sends a strong message out that they have maintained a very strong squad!
Rochdale are never easy to beat at home and I was very surprised to hear this scoreline.

So, Salford to run away with an unbeaten league season chased by Leigh and ourselves?
Any comments?

The insanely biased GMR claim that Salford have by far and away the best squad in NL1.

Listening to the commentary, sounds like Myler had a good game, but got criticised for his defence.

Castleford put 100+ on Rochdale at the back end of last year. I don't know what sort of improvements they've managed to make to their squad in the meantime, but they had a long way to go to back to the sort of squad that beat us in 2006.

This result doesn't surprise me in the least, if anything I would think McRae will be disappointed to have conceded 12 points.

I don't think anyone would seriously dispute that Salford have the strongest squad in NL1 on paper and it will take a good performance by anyone to beat them this year but it's not impossible.

I think most fair minded fans would agree with that.  Its up to everyone else to ensure that they dont deliver.

We had the best squad last year, but we all know what happened.
