Gary Middlehurst was stretchered off against Leigh Miners at the weekend and it's been confirmed he's dislocated and broken his ankle and also broken his leg in 2 places. This will be a big loss to Simmies as he's been in fine form. Lets all hope he makes a full recovery!!!

This makes me feel sick - all the best to the lad, obviously a great player as he gets the headlines every week, not just in Widnes.

If there is a collection to be done for him please let us know as I am sure the Swans would  help out.

Terrible news for Gary.

Hes been the stand out player in local amateur rugby and indeed I believe on his spells in Oz over the last few years.

Sounds an awful injury of the kind we all dread. Hope he can make a full and speedy recovery.

I am sure I speak from all at the Albert Park in giving our best wishes.

all the best gary for a speedy recovery.

Just to let everyone know, Gary was released from hospital this evening after an operation.
Good to see he hadn't lost any of his appetite as he made his Uncle take him the chippy on the way home! Wink
