Widnes 30 Salford 0
Well done to all the boys involved. Salford are a development side and played very well. Widnes where to strong and fast for Salford to contain.
The Talented & Gifted name has been given to all Town Team sides by the RFL,so lets not comment any more about the name, lets comment about how well the boys are doing.

It was a good game to watch with both sides showing some good stuff. Widnes were too strong for the developing Salford side but credit to all involved. Both sides put on a very good display and for a change the weather was great too

I agree with Big Foz. Too often our very talented youngsters are bound up in the politics of names and philosophies. These boys just want the opportunity to display their skills at the highest level. Thank goodness that all connected with Widnes Schools RLA and their sponsors, the Widnes Past players Association, afford the boys the opportunity to do just this. If anyone hasn't seen these boys play, then the next time that they are at Widnes Recreation Club get down to see them . They have great talent and are the future of Widnes Vikings. They are the first tier of the Widnes club. They and all the Talent squads (Town Teams) play at a very high level. The game on Saturday illustrated this with the Widnes boys showing how adaptable they were and how they are constantly learning, even during the game. Well done to the boys, their families their schools and their clubs.
