I'll check your spelling mate  Wink   Grin Grin

It has to be said, the lads grammar has improved immensely since 'The Drummer' threads!!!! Wink

10/10 for effort Smiley
8/10 for attainment Smiley
0/10 for Football team preference Shocked

Well seen, as the Franchise is the most talked about thing just lately, I am doing a presentation on it for my English Coursework.

I need to include:
How the league is now.
What the benefits will be.
What the disadvantages will be.
Why I am for or against it happening.

Would anyone like to help?  Cheesy Grin Cheesy

Should be 'seeing'.

Also try to include benefits to the wider community (not so much for The Vikings)  in so much as greater pride and recognition on a National basis.
Negatives will inevitably for the clubs/towns who don't get a franchise and could go as far as clubs folding as we know only too well!!!

oh, I loved English!  It was all about escapism in my mind, and the grammar was easy because it was what my parents expected of me.  But that was probably before you were born (unless you are a mature student!!)

Spelling is easy - the word just doesn't look right if it isn't right!

Good luck with your studies.  Now get to work on 4 individual threads to get your points out and debated by the board users!!!   Wink Wink

Me too. Spot on.

In one way I'll be glad to Widnes in the top league if they get there. On the other hand I do think "Super League" is a self proclaimed split from Rugby League now. I may concentrate on watching my local Amateur Rugby League team. I think the current RFL should call themselves what they are "Super League Ltd". I think a new RFL should be set up.

Would,nt it be great to see a rival broadcaster step in and bid a huge sum for the televising of the national leagues and challenge cup.We could then invite applicants from SL to apply for two places in our league and watch the likes of Leeds and Wigan etc falling over themselves in the rush.

Yes, it would be great to have the financial clout to put two fingers up to SL. If only I'd invested a couple of million in Microsoft around 1981...

I almost did, too, just one or two minor details got in the way.
