NWC Div 2 - HARESFINCH v ALBERT PARK

After last weeks disappointing NWC challenge cup defeat against Oldham st Annes, the Albert travel to St Helens to resume their quest for promotion the the NWC Div 2.

with only 4 games remainnig, and only 1 league point between the top 3 teams, it is imperetive that the albert get straight back to winning ways if they are to make 2008 another successful year for the club.

the last time the 2 teams met was at the parklands back in october, which saw the albert come out victors by 34-30.  the albert will remember that they had a comfortable lead in this match but haresfinch's "never say die attitude" saw them claw back into the game after the albert began to sit back to give them and uncomfortable last few minutes.  this cannot happen again as a single loss in the last 4 games will utimatley end their title hopes. 

although haresfinch sit 2nd from bottom in the table, the albert will need to disregard rankings and play to the best of their ability, leaving nothing to chance.

Was a real tough day at the office yesterday for the bert.

We wasn't at our best and a very big Haresfinch side really gave it to us. The awful conditions meant it turned in to a bit of a a forward battle which didn't really suit us and at the end of the day we was hanging on a bit.

But when it gets to this stage of the year its certainly all about the winning and thats what we did. 3 more wins and we will be promoted for the 2nd year running.

Ain't the end of seasons exciting!!!!
