I remember when FC United were ridiculed for setting themselves up by Liverpool fans who equally ridiculed United for having an American owner. How times change.
It's got to be a kick in the teeth for teams like Warrington Town, Blyth Spartans etc, who have been set up for years and years, and then disgruntled fans of the big money spending clubs start chucking their cash around and flying through the leagues like AFC Wimbledon have done.
Think it is a bit harsh tarnishing the Dons with the same brush. They hadn't played at their home ground at Plough Lane since the late 80's and were on their
word financially till that Pete Winkleman bloke stepped him and totally rebranded the club. Quite rightly I would be fuming too and fair play to them for setting themselves up again. If their fans aspire to get themselves back into the football league and as 5,000+ fans each week they rightly throw money at the club.
