a horror show in defence contributed to this very poor defeat by our under 18s going down by 36pts to 32pts at harlequins.this plus a woeful refereeing display added to their problems.widnes were denied two early scores from ryan mcpaul the ref ruling both the final passes being forward with the line at his mercy.widnes troubles did not end there after 15mins play widnes lost powerful prop wood-hulme with a bad head injury being knocked out cold and a bad cut head , the game was held up for approx 20mins while he was transfered to hospital.going down 20pts to nil the widnes boys worked their way back into the game pulling the score back to 20 all.but further misfortune hit the widnes boys when try scoerer jack smith suffered what appears to be a broken leg ,leaving the field in great pain.widnes woes continued with some shocking refereeing discisons awarding tries to harlequins when both sets of supporters agreed they were not valied scores .     widnes scores were  tries g scott (2) t arrowsmith, d dourley,j smith, d houghton. goals d ourley (4) widnes now have a few weeks off to try and regroup, heres wishing the injured players a speedy recovery.

I too hope the injured players are ok and have a speedy recovery.

The result though, is pretty bad. Quins had conceeded over 150 points in the last 2 games including over 100 against Saints. As you would expect there are a lot of tough games at this level and can't help but feel its been a missed opportunity today. The fact though we've only been beaten by 2 points last week and 4 this, shows we are at least competing which is the main thing.

think it was probably a joke legend by someone who knows the lad.

No joke though is the result. Harlequins have regulary been the whipping boys in the youth leagues so to lose to them is very disappointing. Think its going to be a long hard season for the lads this year im afraid.
