In answer to your comments Ratboy , perhaps if you went to the match yourself and did not rely on text messages and mobile phone calls i would
take your comments more seriously . How do you know who played badly , they are other peoples views and evry persons views are not inline with myself or maybe other people.
How many times have you shouted no try , offside , penalty etc and the person next to you ahs totally disagreed with you.

This season the results do not matter , there are no part of SL criteria based on results.
The team when we obtain a SL franchaise will be totally different.

i hate seeing this comment, it matters to the ppl paying to watch.
the team will be different but there will be still alot of these players, were not going to bring in 25 new players even if we go up.

Glyn all the youner players will have a full seasons of experience behind them by next season.

Yes we all pay to watch the players etc and we expect them to win , just think back a few months , we did not even have a club never need a team to put out on the park

I want the best for the club but i just do not think ste mac motivates them enough.I know difficult with injuries but playing donaghue in the centre is crazy.Just seems he puts people in wrong postions.Yes i will go games to help our cause for superleague but we will unfortunanetly lose some fans.We need results now as the decision for franchise is only weeks away and these bad performances could hinder our chances.

Well other people seem to think performances on the field will matter, not so sure myself mind, but I am sure it is looked upon beeter if you are performing pretty well if it comes down to the rfl looking for reasons to find excuses to stitch people up Wink

Why not play Noone in the Centre's, he played a few times for the Wire there?

What will happen if we dont get a franchise, I think we can say goodbye to top flight Rugby for at least 6 years!!!

Bill, Glynn and Ratboy - funny thing is that you all share the same frustrations as the rest of us!

I decided at the start of the season that as our goal for the season was not exactly clear I would simply judge each game on its own merits. No matter whether the end of season league position makes any difference a win is still a win and a loss is still a loss.

Celtic we got trounced. BUT it was the first one this year, so I shrugged it off.
Today we scraped a bonus point against a team who have had many unlucky defeats so far this season. It seems many people on these boards underestimated Fetherstone and expected a walk-over...oops! Add to this the fact that I couldn't go today and didn't even hear the game I haven't a clue on the reasons why, but I guess we are struggling to cover positions suffering injury absences.

Halifax next week is the game I expect us to take a beating, but then again we can beat them on our day and that is why we will all be there, cheering players and coach alike. And if you don't like the players or the coach, then just cheer for the club.

I am really fed up with people saying  'Results don't matter'!

What a load of rubbish.  Of course results matter.

Although there is no results specific SL criteria, are the RFL seriously gonna admit a club to SL, who finishes in a relegation spot in NL? If we finish in a relegation spot in NL 1, then this MAY give the RFL grounds for not admitting us to SL.  This poses the biggest threat to us, not us fans who are calling for SMC to be sacked.
