Another light from my younger days extinguished - the world is a sadder place.

My sincere condolences to family and friends and a thank you to the man himself for the memories and for being part of the fabric of my life when I was growing up.

Just read on the Wakey site that there will be 2 statues of Toppo made
One for Wakey and one for Hull
Apparently the fans will be fund raising to pay for the statues
Just like to say its a great idea and wish them every success with the planned events and the fund raising

I will get slated for this, but I acknowledge that Toppo was a great player and a top bloke. But how he got the Lance Todd Trophy in 1979 is one of lifes great mysteries. Eric Hughes absolutely played him off the pitch that day in attack and defence.
