 luv the one of the players entrance in lowerhouse lane,went down a couple of times when i was younger saw the baths then not showers,that was my wembley.still remember that great try mick.

I remember all the Glass and tar on top of the walls to try and stop us sneaking in Cheesy It didn't work though Grin God i loved and miss the old place warts and all. Cry

Top pictures bring back so many memories remember standing outside the players entrance watching the players board their coach for another wembley trip seems like yeserday

Yes, great pictures! But they have reminded me of a question I always had when I saw the sign over the entrance.

What was the "+" for which was between the "Widnes" and the "RFC"? Was it a plus sign or a cross, or was it simply decorative?

Always got me as strange!

With hindsight it was a right dump wasn't it ? Still some of the best memories of my life though !!

I always assumed it was decorative, but stand to be corrected!

I'm with you on that one you never know it may also bring back the atmosphere too it's funny how the atmosphere dies when the fans are sat down.

Spot on mate, our ground is awesome to look at, and the fantastic facilities we have that go with it are second to none, but there is very little atmosphere or character. Bring back the terraces and real entrance music. Cool Cool
