Wish I'd have seen McCue (and Tommy Shannon for that matter).

My grandad could (and did) put up an argument for Ernie Swinton (pre-Offiah) being the best wingman that weever had - couldn't really argue with him as he (Ernie Swinton) was killed in the 1st WW and this was 50 years after the event !!

 !!

I was privileged to see Tommy McCue both before the war and after. I also saw, before the war, McCue, Shannon and Millington in action .

Its so good to see that Alan Dearden gets in some of your teams

He was the best proffesional the club has ever seen and he always gave 110%

Would make my team anytime

I was pleased you put in Frank Myler. After Tommy McCue, arguably  the best player Widnes ever had.

Whither Brian Hogan?  Shocked Apparently, according to Alan rae, if he's managed to change his holiday flights he'll be at that dinner on the 25th!

What a monster, him and Joe Grima would by my favourite front two.

Would be interesting to make a squad including those widnes players who never even played for there home town , now that could be a challenge .
