Pretty good news - I wonder if this means we could get to 2000 plus by the start of the season.

Vikings' fans who wish to take advantage of the 'early bird' offer for 2009 season tickets have until 5pm on Friday to do so.

Priced at £130 adults, £88 concessions, £46 juniors and £176 family (1 adult and 2 juniors), sales have been brisk today with the Club on target to break the 1500 barrier by Friday.

Tickets are available from the Stobart Stadium Halton reception between 9am and 5pm this week or via 0151 495 2250.

Do we get a "new" season ticket - or do they just re-activate the one issued for last season.

Is going to the shop definately the only way?

Have had a few things going on and am now currently based in Leeds so getting down there by Friday is going to prove quite a bit tricky.
Have had a ticket for a good few years but haven't been able to renew yet this year.

LAST CHANCE FOR VIKINGS’ FANS TO BUY EARLY BIRD SEASON TICKETS

Widnes Vikings' fans have just three days left to buy reduced-price season tickets for the 2009 season under the club's "Early Bird" reward scheme.
So far more than 1,300 supporters have snapped up discounted season tickets for next season under the system which closes at 5pm on Friday, November 7th.

Vikings' Chief Executive Alex Bonney said: "We are pleased so many of our supporters have already purchased their tickets for the new season and we hope many more will take up the opportunity to buy season tickets before the Early Bird deadline. Our season ticket holders are a vital income stream for the club. It is essential we attract as many people as possible to take up season tickets as this is a critical area that determines the revenue of the club.

"Over the coming weeks our commercial team will also be working hard to attract new fans to enjoy the match-day experience at Widnes Vikings by targeting people and businesses in Liverpool, north Wales and Cheshire. We need to increase attendances to support our income stream and we see areas such as Liverpool offering fantastic opportunities to develop the Vikings' brand and our fan base."

Widnes Vikings' commercial department also hopes to attract new business sponsors to the club and details of several exciting new contracts are due to be unveiled later this month.

Commercial Manager Mike Banks said: "Sponsorship is another very important area for the club and we are still actively looking for new sponsors. Early in the New Year we will be staging an open day at Stobart Stadium Halton for local and regional businesses to attend where all our marvellous facilities will be showcased. We want to show businesses the immense variety of sponsorship that is available to them and how Widnes Vikings can be a useful and effective marketing partner."

Meanwhile the club are appealing to fans to sign up to the Dream Ticket lottery which has a £10,000 prize to be drawn in May. The lottery is essential to financing the club's scholarship and rugby academy to develop young talent.

Fans who wish to take advantage of the Early Bird offer can call into the Vikings' reception between 9am and 5pm until Friday this week.

Prices start at £46 for juniors, which includes admission to all home and away Northern Rail group matches, Co-operative National League One matches and for the first game Vikings play in the Carnegie Challenge Cup.

A concession ticket is £88 and an adult £130, with a family ticket - one adult and two juniors - £176. Concession and adult season tickets allow the holder admission to the home group games in the Northern Rail Cup plus the home Co-operative National League fixtures as well as the first game the Vikings play in the Carnegie Challenge Cup.

Fans can also purchase season tickets from the club's telephone ticket hotline: 0151 495 2250.

Was there not an option to pay by direct debit in four monthly instalments?

"Direct Debit interest free over 4 months is available to all catergories (except early bird prices)" as per the application forms.
