I've been searching (without success) the 'net, to try to find any 1-0 results in Rugby League.  Embarrassed

I seem to recal a Leeds team (U-21s?) not all that long ago, being involved in a score-line like that. And in first teams, York, a few seasons back, also rings a bell, of being in a match with a similar ending.

I've seen a couple of 0-0 draws, including a replay at Station Road against you mob, and 15-ish? years since, I saw Leigh and Wire draw 1-1 at Hilton Park.

But I've never seen a 1-0!

Anybody out there who can help please?

Spelly.

I think I recall the Leeds U21s score, I think it was against Wigan.

Not being as experienced as you Spelly ( Wink ) I think the lowest scoring game I've ever seen live remains the 7-6 defeat to Castleford in 2004.

KV, don't know how long you've been watching but what about the 2-1 win over Bradford in the mid '80's?

Don't know where you got that one from Paul, but it's not in the records. The nearest one is a 4-4 draw in the CC in 1993.

I also recall a 5 - 4 win against Halifax some time ago. Ste O'Neill dropped a goal late on to win it.

9th of October 1988, spot on, 5-4 at home with a Steve O'Neill drop goal.

Can remember the 2-1 win over Bradford, all drop goals. We lost 3-2 in the JP Cup Final of 1974/5 season to Bradford at Wire in the days of the 3 point try. I remember losing a final or semi final at Leeds possibly Bradford again 6-0. My Dad recalls plenty of other low scoring games when he was playing in the 50s including losing 2-0 at Whitehaven in the cup and the 0-0 Spelly refers to in the early 60s

I (think) I've got the answer!

I also posed the question on York's board at www.rugbyleague.org

But the info came from a Barrow fan!  Embarrassed

(S)he recalls 'em winning 1-0 at Hull KR around 1994.

I don't know about you mob, but I much prefer a low scoring game, where tries are at an absolute premium.

Thank you for all your answers, and memories!

Spelly.
