I'm not wishing my life away, I'm being a realist like SOC is.
These seasons aren't about winning things anymore
, they're about making us look so good that the RFL will have no reason on earth to reject us and on-the-field performances are only half of the battle now.
We need to boost the franchise bid again. Maybe the change of day will help us, maybe not. Either way at least we will have tried something to boost the attendances
They are for me, else I wouldn't bother going!

Good post. I thought that before the franchise announcement if we didnt get a licence, I'd give up with rugby, as it would hurt too much to watch the club effectively play for nothing for 3 years, and I thought if we didnt get one in 2009 we wouldnt get one in 2012. But SOC and the way the club is operating so professionally and impressively off the pitch has made me hang on to hope that maybe in 2012, just maybe, we could re-join the big time.

funny enough my sister was saying somethink similar the other night, her fella takes the kids the matches on sunday and they used to go the caravan friday and come back for the games on sunday, or like you say with friday games u could go for sat/sun, but saturday is just awkard whatever they end up doing.
[/quote Here here! weekends away are precious and sunday games fit in well because you can make it back in time for the match and still have a weekend away, now it will be a choice and family will probably win most of the time due to stressful work, a break is essential.

Most fans on here will get to Friday or Saturday evening games, especially if the team is doing well.
Some potential fans will probably not come to a Friday evening game against, say Sheffield, if Leeds V Wigan is on the tele at the same time.
SOC has the most to gain \ lose on the choice of kick-off options, I believe he will get it right.

For the fans in the short term yes, but for the clubs long term future its not as important as other things

WIDNES TIL I DIE (24HRS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK & 365 DAYS A YEAR)
I'm widnes till I die unless I am at my caravan in Wales, then I will become Widnes by SMS, unless they are getting beat every week and then I won't care
