At Wilderspool, attendance 28,184.
Half time . Score nil nil.
Then a try by Toohey
With minutes to go McCue put a short kick through from outside the 25 yard line..
Reynolds pounced and scored with Hutton adding the goal, and then sealed the match with a drop goad just before full time.
Final Score. 7 --- 3.

My Uncle told me that Reynolds was miles offside from the kick, not that he cared!
