In light of the news, and in contrast to some other threads, I'd just like to say thanks to Steve McCormack for his time at the club. As a relatively young fan, the 2007 season was by far the best I've ever seen from a Widnes team, and despite not being at the NRC final because of holiday, it was the best achievement by the club in recent times.
It's a shame he couldn't take us any further, but I'm sure he'll do a good job for someone else wherever he ends up.

Yes. please. Steve MacCormack did his best for the club, and it was merely the rub of the green that saw us miss promotion twice. Good luck wherever you go.

Best wishes Steve, you gave us a great team in 2007 and retained the club pride in 2008.
Look forward to beating your new team in the future!

Thanks for your efforts Steve. I sincerely hope you find suitable employment in the very near future. Its a difficult economic time for all of us who are faced with losing are livelihoods, especially those with families.
Good Luck in the future

Great bloke and regardless of what most on here think, a good coach, just unlucky in finals. Sometimes the players don't perform on the field, and he always got the blame! A coach picks the team then it's upto the players, the team we had in 2007 had no reason not to succeed, but they didn't!
Thanks Steve, good luck and enjoying watching Wigan Athletic!

Good luck Steve for the future. I am sure you will not be out of work for long.
You have taken our great club as far as you can and for that we all thank you.
Now is the time to realise our full potential and move forward. Whoever our new coach is whether it is Ellery Hanley, Dave Woods, Paul Cullen etc........... We the fans MUST get behind them 100% and with SOC's business skills I am sure he will bring in the right person to fulfil our ambitions both short term and long term goals.

Similar to Neil Kelly in a lesser extent.
Did a good job but unfortunately wasn't the man to take us forward anymore. Am sure he'll have a job soon enough!
