I bet you Schofield has sent his C.V in, he always talks Widnes up, would see it as his way in to Superleague coaching again in 3 years time. Also im sure he applied for a recent job, may have been the England coaching position?

He was coach at Huddersfield but did very badly. They got rid of him on the grounds he wasn't qualified enough.

Schofeild has been away from the game to long!! Wecan not afford to gamble with an outsider now we need an established proven coach ,Woods would suit me as long as he can put together a winning team I dont give a jot what he did off the feild!!

Oh here we go again, weeks (as SOC has suggested) of "sightings" and "very good words" just like before the July debacle................ think I'll go hibernate til it is all over!

I always read Schofields article in RL World first. He takes no nonsense from anyone and doesnt care who he upsets! As a coach, well the juries out.

The club have said they have already had about '6 or 8 applications' im not saying Schofield will get the job but I would put money on him being one of the 6 or 8.
Also its says 'including some of the names mentioned in the media from both home and abroad'. The main one mentioned in the media is Hanley and then Cullen and Woods. So I wonder which one/one's of these have already applied? When they come up with the shortlist will the club announce who is actually on it?

I suspect not - there is no reason why they should - to do so could be quite devisive,

If you read Doug Laughtons book he mentions about a player being a disruptive influence during his time at Leeds....and it wasn't Ellery Hanley as most people think!!
