To point back to the first post, I am not really impressed by Terry O'Connors comments if he now lays blame on the players.
Surely we have a Chairman for the reason that playing/coaching staff need to be on good communicative terms with players and not making comments to the media of this nature.
Surely TOC's job now should be to assist the caretaker coach to boost the morale of the players to achieve higher goals - not to try and alienate hmiself from them?
When has a coach ever been sacked of any team without a following comment from someone inside the club that the players have let that particular individual down? It's almost standard these days and is designed to put fire in the bellies of those that it is aimed at...
As for the comment about being on good communicative terms.. I completely agree.. but there is still a divide there and respect is owed in the same way as it is in any hierarchical system.
TOC making these comments takes the pressure off Stanny and might have the desired effect come 6.00pm on Saturday..
