Can't believe it is Thursday already and not a post about Saturday's game!

You never know! But what better way to get back into things with a good win against Gateshead. I am sure Stanny will do more than fire the lads up for the next few games.
Any predictions?
I'll say 42-12.

I'll say 42-12.A win is a must and preferably a good win at that.

Well it would be too late to tick the NRC cup for this season if we get beat on Saturday we would be most unlikely to qualify for the next stages.

I suspect I will be in the minority but I think we will comfortably beat Gateshead.

Well in truth we should do, but, so should we have beaten Oldham, its a very important game for a season that's only just begun. Like you, I hope for a very good win , sacked coach syndrome and all that.Unfortunately as yet ,I am not that confident.

Should win. Will be interesting to see if there is an immediate improvement. Like the look of the side, it has a good balanced look about it.. Personally i'd have kept faith with Webbo and Thackers at half back and Duffy from the bench.. But i'm not the coach!!!

I don't think you will be... We will win - comfortably. As long Mr Child isn't referee.

We are being very critiacl of our defeat, and rightly so, but didn't Fev beat Leigh, and York beat Haven? All is not lost yet!!!!!

Who? Do you mean if SOC is in a hurry to sign a new coach? Saturday's result should have no influence on the signing of a coach - we can't afford to panic into it. Besides, on the flip side, if we lose we have at least another couple of weeks before the next game that matters. If we win, then Stanky has made a good start, so he will keep going. I don't think the time frame for going through theprocedure SOC has in mind is collapsable.

Our goalkicking needs to be improved, v. Whitehaven 8 tries and only 4 goals, and last week 4 tries and 2 goals....the 2 missed conversions would have won us the game.

I think Fev will be more of a threat this season than leigh and haven put a very weak side out. but I understand the point made
