I remember going to Anfield (and standing on the Kop) when you played Pies in (I think) the Charity Shield, and I seem to recall Brimah Kebbie making his début in that match, so.........

What year would that be please?  Huh

Spelly - I was a proud U11's Schoolboy playing the curtain raiser that day against Wigan U11's. Incredible day that I shall never forget. Widnes got us the umbro replica kit to wear for the occassion. John Barnes, Peter Beardsley and the Radio 1 DJ at the time (cant remember her name) gave us our medals.

I got no further than heysham docks that night as the weather ws that bad they stoped sailing so couldnt get across, no more sailings that would get us across. i think some did catch the next bat and got in just to hear the final hooter...yeh would love to see the game on dvd
