Just curious but are Rochdale to be deducted 9pts for going into Administration? As this is the penalty we recieved last season.

Same rules apply, so if they have - yes...

Apparently, they didn't "officially" go in to administration.

I think they found a new owner before they were forced to go into administration.

An e-mail to the RFL should be sent, but don't hold your breath waiting for an answer that makes sense.

That may well be the company that operates the football team rather than the rugby league team.

A Message From Paul Ormerod regarding our new brand.

“I know there is a lot of discussion going on about the name the team is
playing under this season. ‘What’s happened to the ‘Rochdale’?”

Taking a club out of administration involves a fair amount of legal
stuff, and we were advised very clearly that it was not prudent to start
off playing under the old name.”

“But names are not for ever, and it is not cast in stone. I can assure you
that at some point there will be an opportunity to vote on this.”

“But I am afraid everyone will just have to be patient, the vote may have
to wait longer than people would like. But there definitely will be
one.”

Thanks.

It was, but they said "possibly with a 9 point deduction" 2min 20 secs in.
