Well, fair play to them, on and off the pitch thats a great effort. I never really had a major problem with Celtic going in, my gripe was Salford, who in my opinion are a nothing team with no support and a few sheds round a pitch. Celtic have had no pre season together so they should be the ones getting 50 point tonkings like Salford are.

Credit where it's due, they got a decent crowd for their first home game and were in it right until the end. It'll be interesting to see if they can sustain it. " The 6,351 faithful at the Brewery Field compares admirably to the 6,800 who watched the Newport Gwent Dragons lose to Munster in rugby union at Rodney Parade also on Saturday night." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_le...931280.stm

Saints fans always travel in great numbers, probably 2-300 of them.

Credit where credit is due, that's a cracking crowd for them and a decent performance. Mind you. if the weather was anything like the Dragons v Munster game (absolutely appalling), it might explain the scoreline.

Saints werent happy with the pitch when they went there the day before the game. A member of the coaching staff said it looked ready for cattle, not professional rugby!

Sorry, pc crash!
Saints put on extra coaches at good prices to get a decent following to the game and Celtic did have some discount ticket offers too. Saints felt conditions did contribute to the scoreline as they didnt complete the sets as they liked and had an off day with moves from the training ground etc but were very impressed with the effort the Crusaders for the full 80 minutes in the same conditions.
The state of the pitch will be a factor as the Crusaders look for their 1st win. Hope it against Warrington, preferably at the HJ Stadium tho!
