Did anyone else notice on Bootsn'all last Wednesday, that when Paul Cullen said someone didn't give a toss, an e-mail flooded in complaining about his language and Eddie had to apologise. Surely that wouldn't cause offence to rugby fans. Much worse is heard from the supporters.

Maybe it was a Wire fan

In some parts of the country, "toss" is a euphemism and quite offensive. A mate of mine over here (originally from Yorkshire) sent a lad off in a footy match for calling an opponent a "milk-shake". The lad got off a ban though.

Calling a girl a lemon over here is apparently very offensive - I have no idea why Shocked

Dunno about the IOM, but lemon is cocker-nee rhyming slang - easy-peasy, lemon squeezy. Denoting a lady who is a little free with her affections?

I've read plenty of people on here complaining about Paul Cullen's use of language  Wink

Are you sure he didn't say the person was 'indifferent to the range of possible outcomes"? Didn't give a toss doesn't sound very cullenesque?
