Great Game at K.R. Today Pilks pushed Batley all the way going down by 10pts........ getting beat 18 - 12 at half - time the North West counties give a great account of themselves with just four points in it going into the last five mins Batley sealed their win with a try in the last minute winning 34 - 24

Went to the crumbling Knowsley Road yesterday, and witnessed another cracking performance from an amateur team!

The Recs push the Bulldogs all the way, and it was only with about seven minutes left, that the pros secured their victory.

Skipper, Steve Rawthorne, was a constant threat to the visitors, as was Mark Ashton, who registered a hat-trick of tries.

Was this, a North West Counties side, losing by eight to an NL1 (or whatever it is this time) team an even better performance than National Conference Siddal, running us to just four?  Huh

Not much in either game, and my congratlations go out to both amateur sides I watched over the week-end!

After Siddal, our Trains match with Worky on Wednesday should be easy!  Wink

Spelly.

My girl-friend looked me in the eye, and asked "Do you love me, more than you love Swinton?" I replied "If I said yes, would you believe me?"
