 Grin - Only joking!!

I'd be more concerned about CSKA London rather Liverpool.  Good performance by Liverpool and if Torres/Gerrard stay fit then maybe things will tighten up towards the end of the season.

Cheers

Sir Alex said Manchester United were the better team. He should read the papers today and look at the score!

We have picked up 13 points from the other Big 3 clubs, United have picked up 5.

Just makes you wonder about these inferior teams that we should really be beating, the likes of Hull, Stoke etc. I was surprised at the scoreline, I think the first 25 minutes Liverpool just didn't get out of bed, and Torres' goal really against the run of play changed the match. Take what comes though and 1-4 and to see all them empty seats was hilarious.

In the scheme of things though I don't think it's a significant result over the course of the season. Nice to here that Sir Bobby Robson is healthy enough to be writing in the newspaper this morning and he pretty much says that too in that United now will hit back with a 6 game mullering of all opponents in the league and that Liverpool won't win the league.

Have to say I agree with the great man on that, but it certainly does make for an interesting few weeks, especially if Super Danny Murphy, often a thorn in Utd's side scores the winner at Craven Cottage...

It's been a good week - united will still win the league but doing the double over them shows just shows that they're not as invincible as the papers like to make out.

Get Rafa signed up, give him some cash and we'll win it next year.

Very funny seeing those empty seats as Dossena pluindered the fourth goal - it must be a greater manchester thing.

While a very good result I don't think it will have much impact in the long run, unless United falter again.Things would be very different if this game had come 2 months earlier though.

Things would have and should have been different if Liverpool had played better football from Mid Dec to Mid Feb. That's when they lost the race to the title.

I am a Utd fan but well done the 'Pool. Fully deserved the victory. Too many Utd players hiding(Rooney, Ronaldo to name but two). LFC stopped Utd by depriving the room to play and disrupting possession. One for Vidic to forget, had an absolute mare. Don't know what Van Der Sar was doing for the 3rd and 4th, looked like the air of resignation. If Liverpool could get Gerrard and Torres playing every week I think they could win the league, their downfall is having problems with the "lesser" clubs. Jittery time now for Utd, need to go on another run, get this game out of the system and I think they can only lose maybe 1 more game. Liverpool and Chelsea now galvanised, breathing down the neck of Utd. Speaking of Liverpool, I think in Europe they will fancy their chances against anyone. If Utd do somehow win everything then it will be a truly remarkable achievement and will be impossible to top for Sir Alex. Personally think it will be too much to do. At least, for now, the title race is interesting but who knows how the table will look if Utd do go on a run.

Rafa DOES NOT need yet more cash to buy average players.  LFC  need a manager that actually rates the premiership higher than the champions league.  Rafa is not a good manager, and the fact that Everton's whole team cost less than Torres (and look where Everton are, not too far behind Liverpool) says everything.  Incidently, I am not an Evertonian, just pointing out that relatively speaking they do much better with the very limited funds on offer.

However, lets not take anything away from the win over the Rags on saturday.  It was great.

Your post lost its credibility there.

Stating some facts:

Fernando Jose Torres = £23m

Everton:

Fellaini = £15m
Jagielka = £4m
Piennar = £2.1m
Yakubu = £11.25m

Plus countless other loan / free transfers / undisclosed fees.

Kept Torres quiet for both Everton and England.
Been one of the best deffenders in the Prem this year IMO.

Cahill = £2.1M or so.
And such a great player....

So .... if Liverpool said 'would you like to do a straight swap - give us Jagielka and you can have Torres' what would you say ?

Rafa DOES NOT need yet more cash to buy average players ...... etc, etc.

Now you are just being silly.
