I do believe it! Don't forget they've started the printing presses rolling at the Bank of England big style. What with the economy on its knees for the next few years there's no chance of your 8% being gobbled up by hyperinflation.
Prizes for all!

I recently returned from a holiday in Lanzarotte, and the taxi driver bringing us home told me that he and his Mrs had each received a letter giving them a 5% rise as from 6th April.
My Missus and I haven't had any such letter. I must have upset somebody in power.

My wife got one saying she was getting a 5% rise. I think my extra bit must have come from the pre 88 GMP.

I think they must have done it geographically, starting in the south. If they have, they will be just by Knutsford!

Wont be alphabetical as my taxi driver's initial is well after mine in the alphabet.
I live in hope....

Mine is an "L" --- that is why there needs to be another explanation as Sunny is between us!

I still haven't received confirmation of the increase so, remembering that my old Granny used to say - "When all else fails, read the instructions" - I rang the Pension Service.
All is not lost as a recorded message stated that everyone will receive a letter by the end of March.

They must be leaving the biggest increases [or vice versa] till last!

I am just wondering where my 8% came from. Previously I got £125 a week, and now I am going to get £135 which is circa 8%. Even the Inland Revenue said that. That is 4 extra pints of Guinness!

I think my extra bit must have come from the other bits like graduated pension and GMP pre 88. They tell me it is OK.
