I am just wondering where my 8% came from. Previously I got £125 a week, and now I am going to get £135 which is circa 8%. Even the Inland Revenue said that. That is 4 extra pints of Guinness!

My previous pension was £148 a week, going up to £156 next month, when I was working I paid AVCs and the company advised us to contract out of Serps for a spell.

We contracted out of serps -- probably the right decision,as the then rules would have reduced our  company pension.
