Have any of the technical whizz-kids on the board any suggestions for copying DVD's burned from a Sky+ recording?  It can be downloaded from the Sky Box onto a dVD but that cannot then be copied - any suggestions welcome!

Thanks Deb - I've got Sky+ and can copy it direct from that but for further copies (on Nero) it tells me that there is too much on the disc to copy to another identical disc!  Maybe it is a device built into Sky+ to stop re-copying?

Out of interest how do you copy it from Sky+?

Do you just watch it back and record on DVD recorder via the TV?

OR

Do you need to connect DVD recorder to Sky+ box or is it possible to watch on line and copy to DVD that way?

you need to copy it to your hard drive first then use nero vision express  to shrink it so it fits to a standard dvd the other way is to use dvd shrink free off the net does it all for you Wink

no problem dont forget the sky prog is about 2Hrs long so if you use nero to make a dvd you can trim it first to get rid of the adds

you need to either down load the prog either to a dvd disk or video, if to a disk place it in your drive click on it and open up the files click copy to file and there you go. if by video you need a tv card in your comp then capture it through your video to it.  this takes  a while though as it is in real time so a 2hr prog takes 2 hrs to down load to tape and then another 2hrs to capture
