Moorfield Angels will be hosting a girls festival on Saturday 4th April at Moorfield,  it is short notice as Blackpool are unable to host.

Anyone who came to the festival in June last year will know it it is a good event with plenty of action. Please Come along and support your local girls, help us beat the wire there will be under 12s, under 14s and under 16s teams from around the northwest. We are hoping for a good turn out from ALL teams and ALL teams are welcome. Kick off is at 10.30

Anyone wishing to help sponsor the event will be greatly received.

Nice one Chris, you've saved us the drive to Blackpool.

I'm sure it will be a great success.

Don't forget tomorrow, please come along and support the girls, kick off is at 10.30 and they will probably play 2 or 3 matches of 15 minutes each way including a grudge and crunch match against warrington under 16s. It's at the Moorfield club in Moorfield road, there will be a raffle and some side games organised by the Trust, hot snacks will be on sale. Cool

A big thanks to all teams who played in the festival today, a great day was had by all except Warrington Grin Moorfield Angels played 3 games and won all 3 including against Warrington, the girls played great today and deserve a lot of credit. Wink

Thank you to Trust in Widnes who were sponsors and Lerco, Steve & VOH for the Photo's & Balls.

Thanks to Boots Westbrook for their gifts.

Thanks to all who donated raffle prizes.

Thanks to Widnes Fan 2 who was one of the refs today and had a couple of good games Wink

Thanks to the Maries lads and widnes foundation team for cheering on the girls, it gave them extra 10%.LOL

Thanks to Mark Naughton for the mention on Wire FM and Glynn for Halton Radio.

A disappointment that Halton Wags decided not to attend the festival but hold a training session instead denying the girls a good days rugby and gifts, whatever the problem is the girls should not suffer (poor show). Undecided

The festival was RFl acreidited and backed as you will know from the email's, Blackpool had to cancel and Moorfield stood in with two weeks notice and every team was notified. There was 3 age groups U12s, U14s and U16s played on 3 pitches. Ten teams attended the festival with 70 girls playing. The festival was a great success and enjoyed by all.

Our coaches are qualified and are holding a summer camp on the tuesday & thursday after bank holiday and all schools and age groups have been notified, everyone is welcome as always.  Wink
