Well we won't know for another 3 years VQ but I reckon we would be a more attractive proposition in the minds of most RL fans obviosly except the expansionistas Cheesy

do you know, my first thought was how sad that statement was.......but I've come back to it again because I think that I agree with you - certainly for the next 3 years!  It doesn't cross my mind currently about us being in or about the whole process, I am unable to think of the RFLiars without vitriol, but I see their entire backhanded, ill minded and indifference to the truth as nothing more than something we unfortunately may have to live with for a hell of a long time.............

Lets enjoy our Team and be grateful that we have a town that is home to this wonderful game!   Grin

Bitter and twisted and proud of it. I squealed with delight when I heard the final score from Wire v Celtic

I am not bitter and twisted any more. I followed the Wiredrawers and the Convicts on Sky Sports Score update. I am an expansionist, but believe you need to expand upwards and at the moment expansion is going downwards. There were once 8 South Walian teams playing in the Heart of the RU area and in 1908 I think there were 6 entering the Challenge Cup. None have survived due to indifference  --- not from the then RL Governing Board, but from the towns in which they were located.

I believe that the only way for Rugby League to expand in Wales is through the schools and then with amateur clubs. If you can crack that one, you will win! Remember, St Marie's started in 1937 when some former pupils, Ally Naughton amongst them, asked Mr Joe Ludden, Headmaster at St Marie's to form a Rugby team. He did, and that shows it can be done!

Peter is right. Nothing against expansion, but it needs to be grass-roots upwards. Which is why P/R needed to be retained. Our battle should be to abolish licensing, rather than rail against Celtic, Salford and Catalans.

I too couldn't give two hoots about SL unless I am having a flutter on a game.  Grin

However it always brings a smile to my face to see both Celtic, Salford, Wire and Wigan losing every week. That table at present is a delight!!  Cheesy Cheesy

Quite so. Lewis the Licensor needs continually reminding of his stupidity.

None of the teams in question carry any meaningful support away and are loners because of that. With hard times on us this will matter more and more - certainly if Sky get cold feet.

When you listen to the Sky twaddle about Gateshead/Cumbria/London/Scotland expansion plans none of it will work without two SL divisions at least.  Maybe that is the long term plan.

For the present SL is something to watch on TV when there isn't a game on!!!!

I do think they will eventually go with two divisions, we just have to ride the storm until it gets to the stage (probably talking 2018)
