He wasn't getting in the Wigan side even before they signed Gleeson, how about trying to take him on loan?  He's 21 so may not count on the cap, Wigan could also be looking to loan a player out to avoid going over their own cap as Gleeson must be on good money.  We have taken a few young Wigan players on loan in recent seasons and have the Wigan link with TOC.  It's reported Salford want to take him on loan, I think we may be more attractive on a loan basis.

last time i looked salford are getting hammered every week and widnes are not.

For any young player the widnes situation would be better.

Darrell goulding would not be the one who took another wigan player on loan though - He does not make that kind of decision  Wink

Spot on. SL (where I will still be in the limelight) or NL1? Now let me think about that one. Its a no brainer.

Thats why I said Widnes are attractive on a loan basis not a full time deal.

Wigan may not want one of their rivals i.e Salford to have a good player.
Salford are struggling and have been getting battered most weeks, not the best environment for a young player to come into.
Salford no disrespect is a dump and so is the stadium, Widnes have a much better setup.
Widnes have built up a good relationship with Wigan for signing loan players in recent seasons.
He is not at Widnes to be in the shop window for other clubs, he is 21 and it will allow him to gain first team experience for future seasons with Wigan.
Also talking of limelight, who are on SKY most this season, Widnes or Salford?  We could get to the Grand Final and NRC Final, don't think Salford will get to the challenge cup/grand final somehow.
