Got beat, Something in region of 56-20. Widnes got it to 18-16 at half time then capitulated.

Doesn't sound too bad considering how good Saints have been in this comp in the past. If I remember correctly even the season when we went unbeaten in the regular rounds, we didn't get to the final because we lost to Saints and then Wigan. I don't know if its the style of play or the fact we are taking on the big clubs, but I always enjoy watching the academy games.

Nice to see Danny Craven continuing his good form. Im sure he had a point to prove after playing all 4 foundation games for Saints last year and not being kept on there.

Dont we normally get an academy report from someone on here ?

Is Craig Lawton the lad who terminated his contract with Warrington U18's to become a referee with the rugby academy at Riverside College ?

Same name so I assume its the same player - big lad if it is him. We'd defo be ok in the forwards if both Lawton and Mullally played in the same team.

Believe it was Danny Hulme who was playing scrum half not danny craven , craven was at 6. Hulme had a fantastic first half i believe then they switched players around n put Hulme full back .
