No I don't play for Simmies, I am just a Rugby League fan, quite alot of my mates play for Simmies, whereas I only know a few Maries lads, and hardly any players from the other Widnes Amateur clubs. So my allegiance is with Simmies!  Grin

im not being funny but the lad would not have been knee'd if he hadnt had hit me first!!!!( hence him being sin binned too), if your man enough to give some one a dig in the face then you have to be man enough to take a dig back.

'BOMB' you are missing the point, i not saying you was wrong, as like you said he struck you first! im saying that when i played rugby i showed an unconditional support to my team mates.

so what im saying is someone from the maries should of got stuck in, 'ONE IN ALL IN'!!!!

like i said if it was me i would of gone in swinging AT YOU!!!  then after the match found you and bought you a pint!!

Thats just rugby league IMO!!!!

and that is how i expect the game to be played too, if i was in the same situation i would expect to see some swan lads on my shoulder and i know without doubt it that had all kicked off i wouldnt have been alone. Play hard and look after your team mates and then have a pint after the match and laff it off, dont let a few moments of hot headiness ruin a good game.  any of the swan lads on here would agree when i say that, that was not in my nature last night to react the way i did.

But unfortunatly "K8uck" a few of the maries team dont seem to see the game in the same light and refused to shake hands after the game, which is sad indeed. ( i do hasten to add one of theses WASNT the lad who i got sent off with me).

as i said was out of my character to react that way and it was out of order and as the ref said could quite easily of been a red card for it(but i have seen alot worse reactions than that in my time).  i apoligised after the game to the ref and to all my team for letting them down in a big game. was one of those heat of the moment things and wouldnt have happened if people wernt throwing around punches for being tackled legally. its not as if any thing was done to prevoke a reaction.  But hey lets get back to talking about the good game of rugby that was played last night which was in my opinion the best widnes cup game in this years comp for exitement.

It's obvious then that you played and didn't have to stand and suffer it on the sidelines?!!!  Shocked

it was a good game last night but i thought the first game with moorfield and the maries 2nds has been the most exiting game hopefully the final will top them all but if simms x play like they did in the 2nd half against the moorfield then the maries are gonna get thumped going on wat i seen last night  Huh

Thought the Swans played really really well and suprised a lot of people. Having said that the form they showed v Farnworth suggested they had come through what had started a difficult season, in great shape by the end of it. They look a real good team again and playing like that would be a certainly for promotion next year. Maries obviously can't have played as well as they regulary do in the Conference, but agree they weren't allowed too. With a little bit more composure and better choices going forward the Swans could have sprung the massive upset the cup needs.

Hard luck Swans and good luck to Maries in the Final whoever you may play  Wink
