very very strange.
they have had a strong team all season.
still had a chance of finishing 2nd.

guess they didnt want promotion

correct they did not want promotion,which is cola,we at the moorfield know we are not good enough to win the prem but you have to be in it to win it,we know we need new players and hopefully we will get them but we will have a go,last year haydock finished second but would not go up because they were losing a couple of star players and stayed in div one,i admit they were poor,rylands said yes we will go up and we all know how bad they have done,iif you win promotion you go up and that is it,i rest my case.

spangles HOUSES! I was looking forward to seeing the mallards finishing the season off in style today.Would the mallards have been given the cup today like simmies were? Have to say that manchair is right.If you win promotion,you go up.If teams decide they don't want it then they should start the next season with a points deduction.

You shouldn't be allowed to refuse a promotion... bang out of order in my opinion.

A team may learn more in the long term from a season being the whipping boys in a higher division, it'll give them a better understanding of just what is required for the next time they get there.

it is wrong.haydock did it this year and i play for latchford and we ended up in prem two weeks before the season started.
took so many poundings this year but in a strange way i enjoyed the challenge

cheers manchair,but at the age of 36 im having one last year at latchford(hopefully winning a few games this time) before possibly hanging up the boots as i tend to ache until about wednesday nowadays!!!
plus ive been there 5 years and have made some good friendships(despite them being dirty wires)
