Still shocked, A very likeable man with whom i shared many a laugh on and off the field, especially at training. A very tough player who was good to have on your side. You will be missed.

Terrible news, just shows how tough life can be. My thoughts are with Tony's family, and of course all his team mates at the Maries who must be deeply shaken by this.

I think it would be fitting to hold a minutes silence at the WC Final, so the Maries lads can pay their respects to an enormously popular character in their camp.

RIP Tony.

Can only echo what has been said. Tony was a formidable, tough player on the field. A gentle giant and a gentleman off it.
God Bless

As always on these sad occasions, full credit to the players, officials, and spectators at tonight's Widnes Cup semi-final between the Albert and Simms Cross... an impeccably observed minutes silence in Tony's memory.

Sorry to hear the sad news about Tony, tough opponent on the pitch but really nice guy off it.

Deepest sympathies and condolences to his family, friends and teammates who i'm sure are all deeply saddened.

Its Times like this that club rivalry gets put aside and Last nights minute silence was a fitting tribute for a nice guy and as for the Widnes Cup Final i think it would be fitting for anothers minutes silence so we can all remember and pay respects to two good guys who the game in Widnes has lost this season in Tony Hannon and Dave Myers.

R.I.P,

From all at Halton Simms Cross.
