Ray French was pontificating on radio merseyside about how great the 6000 ticket sales in scotland was for the game, better than ticket sales in wales for the previous magic weekends. The same place we were told ticket sales were good.

According to rfl about 50000 for the whole weekend that makes about 7500 for each of the 7 games, the clubs would have got more at their respective grounds, except for celtic.

How dare you,you flat capper. It's all about spreading the gospel and showcasing the 'product' in areas where people are not one iota interested.

Well part of the 'product' is the officials in charge and the were less than impressive IMO. The number of forward passes/reffings/players stepping into the deadball/knockons etc that were missed were far too many for a 'tight' game. A number of coaches were not impressed and they are right. This is the Achilles heel of SL and needs to be addressed very quickly or the game will become more and more of a lottery.
Sad when the commentators have a laugh that we couildn't contemplate having two referees like the Aussies because we haven't got enough of them!
