Terry O'Connor

Only been at the club just over a year. What's the excuse for the previous two seasons?

Maybe - but if Webster, Thackray , TKL or any of the others went from Widnes to Fev, or Haven, Fax etc, my guess is they would re-find their form. So why aren't they perrorming here?
Well SLV, that has to be the million dollar question, because I fully agree with you, these players don't become bad players overnight, something is stopping them from playing how we all know they can perform, whoever comes up with the answer is a winner, because undoubtedly if they went to other clubs they would rediscover their form. Undecided

If the tizer poor form that we now find ourselves in is due to pressure and expectations then we are mullered. It isn't going to go away and next season when we're drinking in the last chance saloon it will be a whole lot worse.

TOC was asked something at the end of the match before about an email from a Widnes fan saying they were fed up with people feeling sorry for Celtic sitting on a great big 0 at the bottom of the table.............did he feel sorry for them.

Can't remember how he linked it to Widnes but he said emphatically that we are working to a plan for the next round of bids and we would be there.

If you are saying that they are failing because they are trying too hard, that is complete nonsense, because we can all plainly see they are not trying at all!!!

That's right. We are two tents (too tense)
I believe that part of the problem all season has been that the players are tense. Of course they are experienced players and well paid (in some cases), but when it is stated pre-season that you are expected to go the season unbeaten and win everything, that pressure can lead to tension. Especially if things do not immediately go to plan. I think good players, like Webster, Thackray, Smith etc are trying to play well, instead of doing what they naturally do - which is to play welll. Because they are not relaxed, their bodies and mind do not do what comes natural, hence the mis-timing and apparent lack of skill at times. The fact that they know they are being pillaried by fans wont help. Opposition players come here to have fun and enjoy the game. Our players are coming to work, knowing they dare not fail. Hence the failure!

We could always get Cullen to tell them I doesnt matter if you lose the next game. Just go out and enjoy yourselves.
The supporters wont mind.

thats right. Tell them 2 go out and enjoy the game they love. Play with confidence and flair. The fans will enjoy the game more . We will play better and have fun. And maybe win.
