Halton Rugby League Service Area's representative programme kicks off this weekend, Saturday 9th May, with games against Copeland and Eden Service Area (Whitehaven and surrounding areas). The under 14's and 15's are away while the under 12's and 13's are at home with the games kicking off at 12pm and 1:15pm respectively. All home games are played at Widnes Recreation Club on Liverpool Road. I would like to invite all fans of Rugby League to come along and lend their support to our youngsters.

Good luck to all of the lads!  Grin

I am off to Whitehaven tomorrow to see Widnes lads put in genuine effort at the Recreation Ground--oh for that to happen at first team level.

Last Saturday was another successful day for Halton Service Area with 3 of the 4 teams beating St. Helens. All of the lads produced worthy performances. Smiley

The final games of this years programme take place on Wednesday evening (20th May) against Warrington, with the 14's and 15's at home (Widnes Recreation Club). The matches kick off at 17:30 and 18:45 respectively. The 12's and 13's play away to Warrington at Great Sankey High School.

Please come along to support the lads in what are essentially Widnes vs Wire derby's.

This years Service Area programme ended last night with 2 victories from 4 against a very strong Warrington Service Area. The 12's and 15's produced outstanding performances to come away from their encounters with very convincing scorelines. The 14's, were narrowly beaten by an extremely strong Warrington side who had not previously conceeded a single point, until the 5 trys scored by Halton.

Overall this has been a very successful series of games for Halton with 9 victories from 12, and I would like to congratulate all of the players and coaching.

I would also like to thank all of the parents, families, friends and general spectators for their continued support of Halton Rugby League Service Area.   Grin
