In the 80's can anyone remember were it was played? I sought of remember the game taking place and remember Sorenson and Boyd having a ding dong throughout the game. The Americans viewers could not believe we were playing without helmets and pads!

I was looking all over the internet, as I could not remember Widnes going to the USA. However I came across some articles about Les Boyd, possibly the greatest thug that ever pulled on a Rugby Jersey.

Correct rs.

It was Boyd and Hanley who had the ding dong.

Funny how the old memory plays tricks. I remembered clearly watching from the tunnel end as Mal Meninga left Alan tait for dead in a tour match in 1990 - except that when I saw the game on Micron video a couple of months ago, Tait wasn't even playing, it was Devereux... Shocked
