Excellent game today; right up there with the best Summer Conference games I've seen.

Well done to the Saints who made sure the new boys from Wigan went home understanding just why the Saints have been the divisional champions for the past few years!!

Full credit to the Riversiders though, they look a really good outfit and I suspect come the end of the season they'll be involved in the play-off's.

All the photos for the game can now be found HERE

You got it in one. I have had to miss all 3 games so far and they have won all three, perhaps I know what's coming next......

Was great to get our first win tody, my 1st as captain too  Grin

Blackpool were a good side and included several of the Blackpool Scorpions side who won NWC Div 2 this season.  They also had lads from Haydock and Blackpool Stanley. We showed determination a the end when we were 24-22 up with 5 mins to go.  Made up with the lads.

One final note.....Mr M Smith needs to hang up his whistle.......spanglese

I went and watched the merit League game between Wigan Riversiders 'A' and Chester Gladiators today... the lads from New Broughton were doing there warm up's on the pitch near me (their game followed the one I was watching); rather like the early stages of last season they looked packed with Salford Uni lads, with a few older heads for a bit of experience.  Will be interesting to see what the team looks like later in the season when the Uni player pool isn't there.
