Couldn't understand why we got him here in the first place... even more so after I'd seen a pretty woeful display against Barrow.

Won't be missed as far as I'm concerned.

When fit he is definetely better than any other centre we have, and that includes this seasons TKL, although not previous seasons TKL. I still remember last seasons game against Salford when on his debut he turned us from certain defeat (and a likely walloping) to victors.

If I remember correctly Dean scored 2 decent tries on debut, then he didn't touch the ball for the next few games (not his fault, we just didn't pass to him). I also remember people were a bit worried about his defence.

Didn't we play him in the pack in a our last game - which was a bit bizzare.

You could well be writing something similar about Kevin Penney in a month or so's time  Undecided

I wonder if this is part of Cullen's thoughts now - we have to be succession planning for TKL I think, and I wonder if it was partly why he brought him back (sorry the loan period finished early due to his back injury though).

I liked Tyrer on a good day.

Cullen will have to have coached that in to them.  Dean was under Mac so we couldn't have expected anything different really.  as a previous SL coach I'd be extremely disappointed if he hasn't created a game plan that will play to the strengths of the squad he is assembling.   Undecided

Potentially I think Tyrer will turn into a more than decent player, but his second stint with us was a bit disappointing.

Do we know for certain he has returned to Celtic? I mean if he has a stress fracture of the back, as stated on the Official Site it would seem likely, but the only references relate to him missing Saturday's game, having said that I suppose from the month loan he only had one more game anyway (assuming we were not going to extend his loan period). I dont think he has had as much opportunity to shine this time around, but we will certainly be short in the centres if he goes given the frailties of TKL and Tim Hartley.  Obviously if Nanyn were to arrrive (and there is not much sign of that yet) that would make things different. Mr Hartley may of course have a blinder on Saturday to confound us all (lets hope so!)

This was always my perception of the situation too LIP. I didn't think a club who is loaning a player from another club (i.e Celtic loaning Tyrer from St's) could then loan him out to another club (as he is not fully their player).

St's own his registration so it must be St's who loan him not a third party its unless his agent is the same guy who owns Tevez at Utd (very bizarre situation that is).

So I would agree he will have gone back to St's who could obviously re-loan him to Celtic but he can't be loaned out by a loanee surely. But who knows it is the RFL we are talking about and RL regs!!
