Pretty awful referee today... wouldn't have known a forward pass if an American Football quarterback had taken to the field  Roll Eyes   Don't think we had a set of six in the match without him blowing up for something pathetic.

I think his performance is what led to a few 'heated' moments in the second half... both sides seeing players carded in what really wasn't a nasty game at all.

Both teams came to play, both teams tried to play, just the referee that wasn't going to let them.

I suspect New Broughton will be involved in the shake up come the end of the season, they look a big, fit, and well drilled side.

Widnes Saints play their penultimate game away to Broughton in Salford this Saturday 18.07.09. Players meet at 12.00 noon for a game that the Saints need to win if they are to retain their RCL North West title. Coach leaves at 12.30pm.
