Following last night's AGM:

It has been noticed that many of the players from last year have not yet bought tickets for this year's Presentation evening, which this year is being held as part of the 40th Anniversary celebrations, as opposed to the usual Corpy evening. Hence the requirement for a ticket. Everyone is being encouraged to attend, and it is only a tenner, which is very reasonable for what is planned for the night as opposed to the usual disco! The committee have asked that players wishing to come get their tickets ASAP instead of the usual last minute thing, for one they're selling pretty fast and there mightn't be any left come the night!

Training
Light training will start this Thurs and every Thurs from now on starting at 6.15pm at the Corpy. All the lads are asked to attend who intend on playing next season, and anyone new are invited along for a number of reasons:
1. Newly appointed coach Frank 'Mazza' Malloy would like to meet all his squad before entering into full pre-season training in order to assess his options.
2. An idea of numbers is required from a club perspective in order to decide whether to accept an invite into the Annual 'Champion of Champions' Tournament at Leigh Miners which is being held from mid-July, and also to ensure that we have again the numbers required to be able to re-enter a 2nd team in the NWC and be able to sustain a team.
3. It appears that a number of the lads are still 'full of energy' despite a long and arduous season as it has been noticed by the committee and frowned upon that a number of players are turning out for other club's through the summer and the question has arose regarding insurance and eligibility come the start of the season.

See you all there!

All players playin in both Summer competitions are insured by Widnes Saints and by Widnes St Maries. Players have the option of paying £20 per year which also covers them for £100 per week towards loss of earnings after 2 weeks.
