Its hat I was telling you about at the Widnes Saints game - I believe it is first team winter conference sides with a view to a gradual change to summer.

All NCL sides have to complete a 6 week trial summer season. If successful it will be extended next summer then obviously we will go across to summer rugby in line with the professional sides. Widnes Saints will then start a winter team Wink

Widnes St Maries priorities lie with the NCL (be it winter or summer)  and with NWC.
Widnes Saints (which is a club started by me but run out of the Maries) priority is to provide a game for ALL local players wether league union or even football who want something to do in the summer.
The Maries NCL players don't start training until week after next so the 6 summer games will be played by mostly NWC players. I am sure we can field a side for the Saints as well (42 trained on Tuesday) but as I told the RCL and CJL at the start of the season the Saints may not complete their fixtures. If push comes to shove the NCL and NWC sides have first pick.

So if this all goes well the maries Ncl could play in the summer and widnes saints in winter ? But what league would they start off in naturally the 6th but im sure it would mainly be Ncl players so would that be the right choice ? could we see simmies and the maries both in the prem in a few years time Huh That would be interesting !!
